Step 1:   Power up the TechMate Pro scan tool

You can power up the tool using a mini-USB cable as shown
below or by connecting the tool to an engine DLC connector.

When using a mini-USB cable you can use your PC's USB port
or other USB power source to apply power to the tool.

Step 2:   Press the VIEW key

With the tool's main menu displayed,  press the VIEW key to
access the tools serial number and software version information
as shown below.
